I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

I received a beautiful card and these gorgeous embellishments from

Sheryl.

I have been just amazed by all of her elegant creations since she joined the DT

at FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES!

What is Breast Cancer?

Breast cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast. It is considered a heterogeneous disease—differing by individual, age group, and even the kinds of cells within the tumors themselves. Obviously no woman wants to receive this diagnosis, but hearing the words “breast cancer” doesn’t always mean an end. It can be the beginning of learning how to fight, getting the facts, and finding hope.
Women in the United States get breast cancer more than any other type of cancer except for skin cancer. It is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in women.
Each year it is estimated that nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Approximately 1,700 men will also be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die each year. The evaluation of men with breast masses is similar to that in women, including mammography.

One of those cancers is Breast Cancer. In the year 2011 in the United States alone approximately 230,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer in women have been reported, approximately 57,650 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be found (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer, and approximately 39,520 deaths from breast cancer (women).

I didn't color at all on this card! Shocker! I just embossed
the stamp in white on black card-stock and called it good!
I know my birds are flying sideways...opps, but I didn't have
enough paper to cut another piece. This is one
of those cards that didn't turn out at all the
way I planned! But here it is anyway....

All of these stamps are created using deeply etched red rubber mounted on an 1/8" cling foam cushion meaning you get a clear impression every time you stamp. Each stamp is produced and packaged in the USA.

This week at
FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES

we want to see you use something new!

The image Tea Time that I used is not new to the store

but it is new to me! As are all of the fun embellies

that I used, they were all a RAK from Heather,

you can find them all at Carolyn's Cards n Things, she has
the most beautiful lace and buttons!
This embossing folder came with my C.B. but I had Never used it,
so it is like using something new too.
I thought this would be a fun little tea bag holder for someone
who is not feeling well since cold and flu season is almost here.
I just love this Plantation Mint tea when I am not feeling well, it
smells so good! I have a little sentiment for the top inside of the card
but didn't get a picture of that for you.

FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES

Ok, this was a REAL challenge for me. I am NOT good at 3D projects! I don't follow directions well, LOL! So I attempted this gift bag that I have had this pattern for about 2 years! I think it was from SCS.

Please take a moment a say a prayer for the community where I live.
If you have seen the news than you know Joplin, MO was hit by
a devastating tornado on Sunday. My heart is breaking for those who have lost loved ones and their homes.
The support we have seen is overwhelming!
I can not even put into words what we have seen here.
If you want to help please contact the American Red Cross, they are an amazing group of people.

I just colored my image and sponged the heart then

covered with the paint!

God bless you! This is indeed a blessed time of year, as we remember Christ sacrifice on the cross at Calvary, and celebrate his triumphant victory over death! We're so glad you've stopped by! Our purpose these 3 days is to draw the attention back to Jesus Christ, just as we did with our Christmas version of "Jesus Is The Reason" hop. In the United States especially, Easter has become about mythical bunnies, candy and hunting for colored eggs. While they amuse us, these things distract us from the real cause for celebration: the most amazing event in history - the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

When Christ was scourged, beaten, tormented, spit upon, ridiculed, mocked, nailed to the cross and forced to bear a crown of thorns (Mark 10:34; Luke 23), it was the greatest act of love (John 3:16) the world has ever known. He didn't deserve any of it - He came into this world without sin. But for our sake, because He loves us, He took on our sins and became sin (2Corinthians 5:21; 1Peter 2:22, 24). He gave Himself as the final, substitutive sacrifice, thereby paying our sin debt in full and proclaiming, "It is finished." (John 19:30) Three days later, after being buried in a tomb, He rose from the dead and walked this earth again (Luke 24; Acts 10:40) before ascending to Heaven (1Thessalonians 1:10) to sit at the Father's right hand (Hebrews 12:2). If you can just begin to picture all of this in your mind, how can you refuse the gift of salvation? I pray you will accept it, if you haven't already!

Clear Dollar Stamp

set from last year, it is called

"You're my Peep"

and so I decided to play along with the

Clearly Inspired Challenge sponsored by Clearly I Stamp

sketch challenge.

This yummy paper is October Afternoon, Modern Homemaker and the fun buttons and cardstock are CTMH!

It is hard to see in the pic but there is also some sparkle going on here.... I used my Quickie glue Pen and

some Prisma glitter, I can't have a card without some bling! I think the rest is pretty self explanatory.

I read a very heartfelt post today about this young lady, Haeli, she is in 6th grade. Haeli is dealing with a very serious disease, something that is even hard for an adult to deal with... cancer. She has a rare form of ovarian cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Being the mother of two daughters this scares the life out of me. I can not imagine what this poor child and her family are going through. You can send Haeli a card at the address below.

This week at Freshly Brewed Challenge we want to see your charms! Any kind of charm will do, go ahead and surprise us! I got to spend the day Monday with my bestest Sistah friend, Yvonne, hanging out and playing with her stamping stuff . We had so much fun, and she is so sweet she even took me to the local deli for lunch. YUMMY! So I got to make this cute circle card using her Cricut, fun, fun, now I want one sooo bad! Hmmmm, guess I better get a job before I started adding stuff to my "wish" list.

So Sweet

Yippee it's Saturday! Not that it matters much to me anymore since I don't have a job! Wahhh! And there is still a couple of feet of snow on the ground so I can't go anywhere anyway! On the bright side it is the perfect time to ink up some of the stamps that I ordered last summer!!!! Please tell me I am not the only one who does that! I have 4 brand new sets of stamps from MFT that have never seen ink!
I started this card a couple of days ago, and just could not get it to come together the way I wanted. I hate it when that happens. So I decided to give up and just let it go, although I still think it needs something???
I used Tracy's adorable sketch you can see below. Be sure to go by and give her some love! She makes the CUTEST cards I have ever seen. Click on her blog {HERE}

I also decided to heat emboss my image after seeing the challenge at Phindy's Place is to use embossing this week. I really like how easy it makes staying in the lines when you are coloring...I will have to start doing this more often! Although it had been so long since I had done this my embossing pad was almost dried out, I will have to get a refill. Plus it is sooo messy, or maybe I am just messy.
Isn't she just adorable though? I love these Pure Innocence stamps from MFT, and they are super affordable! This set also has a sentiment that says "Make mine a double" which is the name of it. You can see more of theses cuties at My Favorite Things {{{HERE}}}. The inside sentiment is also MFT and it is from the set "Clearly Sentimental about Birthdays". The little heart and ice cream inside are from a set called "Sweet On You" from the Craft Lounge that you can see [[HERE]] if it is still available I got this set last Feb. and am just using it too! It is hard to see but there is sponging around the image and sentiment, I used Color Box chalk ink in eggshell for that. The dt is Cosmo Cricket. Everything else is CTMH and you can get it {{HERE}}.

Cupcakes or Cake?

Which do you prefer, cupcakes or cake? I have always thought cupcakes taste better! Why, is that, they are made exactly the same way as a cake? Hmmmm, I am sure they taste better. Today is my youngest daughters 21st birthday! Yikes! where did all those years go?? And in true style to her Mother she loves all things sweet, especially cupcakes and coffee!!! Ahhhh, that's my baby! So I made her this little card and tucked a cupcake gift card inside. I hope she likes it. I used this cute

Guess What's New at Fresh Brewed Designs????

It is party time at Fresh Brewed Designs! Heather is celebrating the Grand Opening of her new Store, and the release of her brand spankin' new RUBBER STAMPS!!!! Yep I said RUBBER!!!! Woot, woot!!! How cool is that!!! I finally got a chance to ink one of mine up, this one is Love Mug, isn't it fun? If you look at the close up you will see I covered the heart up with a star 'cause it just went better with my paper.
There is A LOT going on this weekend around here, so ya better brew up a big pot of coffee! There are some super fun challenges going on at Paper Craft Planet, one is a color challenge, brown, green, and yellow with a party theme. So do ya think my card fits?
